VISIONS

“Stunning vocal arrangements and positive lyrics with an emphasis on making the world a better place will delight listeners of all ages.” -www.jewishmusic.com

When Cantor Allan Robuck of Orlando, Florida asked three former Bat Mitzvah students to sing a High Holiday prayer in 1997, he had no idea that it would create a singing sensation across the country.

Amy (25), Andra (24), and Talia (25) recorded their first album, Living the Dream , in February of 1999. It has been a major fundraising success for their synagogue, and all of its revenues continue to be donated.

But those who loved Living the Dream weren't satisfied with just one CD, so in the spring of 2000, the trio went back into the recording studio and produced In Our Hearts, In Our Prayers, which immediately became available in over 90 Judaica stores and bookshops nationwide.

In the fall of 2002, Amy, Andra, and Talia released their third album, Light of Dawn . With its blend of Jewish and inspirational melodies, this CD is full of energy, hope, prayer, and, of course, their beautiful harmonies! Original songs by the girls stand out on the album, complementing traditional favorites in both Hebrew and English.

Inspired by Visions' music and message, one producer's efforts led to the 2004 release of The Journey, a video documentary available on DVD and VHS, which shows behind-the-scenes interviews, rehearsals, concert clips, and more! The film takes you on a spiritual and musical journey as you learn more about the girls.

Instead of returning to a recording studio, Visions performed a benefit concert in their hometown of Orlando, Florida, which was recorded live. Their fourth CD, released in May 2007, Bringing It Home: Visions Live in Concert , has quickly become a fan favorite. According to a review by Hadassah Magazine, this CD is “a stirring, inspirational mix of pop and piety.

“They are sometimes called the Jewish Dixie Chicks. Their music is some of the most popular Jewish music around.” - Berta Delagado, Dallas Morning News

Visions was honored with an invitation to appear in the Catskills this summer before the Cantors Assembly Convention. They have also performed for a host of national organizations; Jewish Federations; synagogues; Jewish Community Centers; the Anti-Defamation League; Seeds of Peace; Give Kids the World; the Jewish National Fund; Israel Bonds; AIPAC; B'nai B'rith International; Jewish Family Services; the Mayor of Orlando; CAJE; and summer camps Ramah Darom and Barney Medintz , and events: the International Convention for the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the Lion of Judah International Conference, the Maccabi Games, the UJC National Young Leadership Conference, the National Conference for Community and Justice, the Valley Jewish Festival in Los Angeles, the Hadassah National Convention, and Florida Hospital's Women's Interfaith Prayer Celebration. Among these many venues, they still revel in the memory of performing at a synagogue in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

And while they traveled and performed over the last decade, each was able to attend and graduate Phi Beta Kappa from their respective universities: Emory University (Andra), University of Southern California (Talia), and Vanderbilt University (Amy). Now each is established in her chosen field while proudly continuing to be Jewish role models, united in their desire to make our world a better place.

“All of us identified with your beautiful songs, and we absorbed your very positive Jewish energy.” -Rabbi Henry I. Sobel, Congregacao Israelita Paulista, Brazil

Their message of tikkun olam continues with each performance
